The Kawasaki KRX 1000 has a catalytic converter in the OEM muffler. Replace it with our muffler without a catalytic converter and you are likely to get some backfire on decel. Some riders specifically like this, some don't.
Our muffler is designed to run safely with the stock ECU. No tune required. You won't throw a code, you won't damage your engine, and you get the performance and sound the muffler is built for.
If you want less backfire, run 87 octane and ease off the throttle on decel instead of snapping it shut. This helps reduce it noticeably. An aftermarket tune from a reputable third party will reduce it further or potentially eliminate it.

Strategically placed tubes and chambers capture sound waves and scavenge exhaust resulting in a zero-maintenance, high performance muffler with a deep subtle performance tone.

This muffler is tuned specifically to run with the cars stock ECU tuning. A tuner can be added if desired but is not necessary.

Each system is fully welded and requires zero maintenance.

Direct bolt-on system to the vehicles factory mounts with common hand tools and minimal mechanical skill. All necessary hardware and instructions supplied.
